A substantial, hand-signed Zuni sterling silver ring featuring classic channel inlay work in turquoise, jet, shell, and mother of pearl. The oval face is set in a beautifully textured hammered sterling bezel, and the wide band carries additional hand-engraved detailing along the shoulders — the kind of silversmithing you don’t see on commercial pieces.
The signature: The inside of the band bears an engraved picto-signature — a hand-drawn flower or four-leaf clover with a stem, accompanied by two additional small botanical drawings (what appears to be a rose and a second flower). This is characteristic of Zuni artists who sign their work by hand-engraving rather than using a die stamp. The artist has not yet been identified from published hallmark references, but the signature is clearly intentional and personal.
