An oval of Sonoran Gold turquoise set in a hand-twisted sterling rope bezel, with a split shank that tapers clean into the setting. The stone runs bright blue through heavy brown webbing — no two are alike, and this one carries a lot of matrix.
The piece is unsigned. It came with a Running Bear Shop tag attributing the work to Jerryson Henio, a Navajo silversmith who produced for the Gallup trading post. Running Bear has been a working trader since the 1970s and tagged pieces by hand; the tag is the provenance, not a hallmark, and I’m passing it along exactly as it came to me.
