Snake Cuff Bracelet Zuni Sterling Silver Turquoise Coral, Native American Hallmarked Jewelry, Effie Calavaza
$604.00
Handcrafted in Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico by Effie Calavaza — the legendary Zuni artist who made the snake-and-cabochon design famous. Hallmarked EFFIE C ZUNI inside the cuff. Original $500 gallery tag still intact.
Two sculptural sterling silver snakes wind around a natural turquoise and Mediterranean red coral cabochon — each snake head set with tiny inset stone eyes, Effie’s signature authentication detail. 26.8 grams of solid sand-cast sterling silver.
In Zuni tradition the serpent guards water and life, symbolizing renewal and lightning. Effie was one of only two Zuni artists known for snake jewelry — and she pursued legal action to protect her designs from imitation.
